Mountain Health Care, Inc. is a locally owned corporation that operates at 740 McKinley Avenue in Kellogg, Idaho. Its purpose is to operate a medical office building to service the communities of the Silver Valley. Mountain Health Care continues to provide employment and long term commitment to provide health care services for the economic growth of the Silver Valley. Mountain Health Care owners consist of three locally established business men: Dr. Frederick R. Haller, President of Mountain Health Care, Inc. and Medical Director of Mountain Health Services, P.C., Board Certified in Internal Medicine; Alan D. Kohal, RPH, Vice President of Mountain Health Care, Inc., and Terry L. Spohr, PAC., Secretary of Mountain Health Care, Inc., specializing in Family Practice.
Mountain Health Care, Inc. owners practice medicine and operate from the facility at 740 McKinley Avenue. In addition, Mountain Health Services employs Kathleen Smith, Certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Women’s Health and Dr. Rafael Beier, who is Board Certified in Family Practice. The newest full-time addition to Mountain Health Care is Scott Reed, M.D. who is Board Certified in Family Practice.
This facility includes Global Nuclear Medicine which offers Nuclear Medicine services run by Thomas F. Heston, M.D. FAAFP, who is a diplomate of the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.
Also on site is Kellogg Physical Therapy which offers full service out-patient physical therapy staffed with a licensed P.T., P.T. Assistant, P.T. Tech and R.N.
Our local hospital, Shoshone Medical Center, is capable of handling almost all emergencies and admissions.
Integrated into this structure are visiting specialty physicians from Coeur d’Alene, St. Maries and Spokane. Full-time visiting physicians include, Dr. John McNulty, Orthopaedic Surgery and Dr. Antoine Sarkis, General Surgery. Visiting physicians have revolving schedules depending on patient volume and specialty demand.
